The power of the written word

Why written, not spoken

Aren't you tired of endless phone calls — put on hold, transferred, explaining your case for the third time to someone half-watching a show while "helping" you?

Your immigration case isn't a customer service ticket. It's your life, your family, your future — and it deserves more than a distracted voice on the other end of a call center line.

That's why Abogado Sergio works differently.

You write. Attorney Sergio reads — every word, carefully, himself. No paralegal skimming your case. No script. No rush. Just a real answer, thought through and put in writing, so you have something permanent: something you can read again, share with your family, keep for your records. Not a phone call you half-remember an hour later.

Advice given over the phone fades. You hang up, and within a day the details blur — was it three years or five? Did he say file first, or wait? A written legal opinion doesn't fade. It's yours to keep, to read again at 2am when the worry creeps back, to hand to a family member, to carry into any office that asks "what did your lawyer say?" Memory forgets. Paper remembers.

The written word doesn't get distracted. It doesn't multitask. It says exactly what it means, and it's there whenever you need to look at it again.

That's the whole idea. One question, real attention, a real answer — in writing, from Attorney Sergio himself.

Every case here is somebody's family

The duty, and what it actually means

A lawyer owes you a fiduciary duty — the highest duty the law recognizes, higher than a contract, higher than a handshake. It means your interest comes before his. Every time. No exception.

That is the floor, not the ceiling. Reading is only where it starts. Attorney Sergio treats your case as if you were his brother, his mother, his father, his aunt, his uncle — with the same worry, the same hours, the same refusal to leave a question half-answered because it was late and he was tired.

Great care is not a slogan here. It is the reason the answer comes in writing, the reason he reads every word himself, and the reason he will tell you no when the honest answer is no.

How it works

Three steps. No phone tag, no waiting room.

  1. You write

Send your question and your facts in your own words — English or Spanish. Include your current status, the key dates, and any notice you have received. Every detail, every worry. Nothing is too small.

You will also be asked whether you have any deadline, court date, or señalamiento in the next three months, and you will sign a short engagement agreement. It takes about a minute. You pay nothing at this step.

  2. Attorney Sergio reads and writes

He reviews the facts, the governing federal law, and how the law applies to you — himself, every word. He also looks for deadlines you may not know you have, and tells you immediately if he finds one, at no charge.

  3. Your Legal Opinion is delivered

When your Opinion is written, you get an email saying so. You come back, you pay, and it opens immediately. Yours to keep. In any case, your personal documents always come back to you.

Peace of mind. Because the work is finished before any money moves, no fee of yours is ever held by this firm — not in trust, not anywhere. You are paying for something that already exists — written for you, tailor-made to your case, and to no one else's. The engagement ends on delivery.
